I had to stop using it and buy an alternative product. Tried to use it with IPod Touch 2G for Skype calls. It seemed to have some issue with connectivity where it was switching from the call to music by itself.
I highly recommend this product, as I do most Shure products. This is a great mic for my iPhone that allows me to use my SE420 headphones. I really like the fact that I can continue to listen to best headphones for the price and talk clearly and seemlessly.
You may want to leave one earbud out or loose to get a more normal amount of feedback on your speaking level. There is no feedback from the mic to the headphones. Pros: Turns any headphones into a headset for the iPhone. Good sound quality and appears well madeCons: It is sometimes difficult to locate the microphone properly due to the stiffness of the wiresNote: If you use these with sound isolating headphones, such as the ones from Shure, you will sound muffled to yourself.
To correct some of the reviews, YES the button does control play/pause, forward (two quick pushes) and previous track (three quick pushes). I love every Shure headphones I have owned including the current one and I thought this would be great but my second pair just died, the mic doesn't work and the control button either. I have had a lot of people complain that they can't really hear me well because the mic picks up every single noise around me.
I'm very happy, until upgrade and discount, with my iphone and Shure products make it happen. They're perfect and doesn't take away sound from Shure e5c. Also, enjoy hands-free when talking on iphone G2.
